Two memes have come together in this video. Old Spice and Will It Blend’s meme star Tom Dickson have come together to put a bottle of Old Spice in the Blendtec blender. Will it blend? Watch the video below to find out:
Some of you might remember when we reported that Dracula was coming to the iPad. The App is less of an ebook and more of an interactive game, and someone decided to take the Victorian story of War of the Worlds and give it the same treatment. You can watch the video and see how the user can touch the tripods to make them destroy things, as well as wiping the condensation off of windows. It looks like a lot of fun, and could easily distract you from the actual story. The App is selling for a launch-only special price of $3.99, and you might want to get it before the price goes up to $7.99. Related Posts

This was UStream’s most viewed one-time event in 2010. This further proves that social media is an essential component of any marketing campaign. Zynga had a celebration for Mafia Wars in San Francisco as well, but the city did not take it well. Zynga glued fake $25,000 bills to the sidewalks in San Francisco that led people to see the Mafia Wars website. The Deputy City Attorney of San Francisco Alex Tse said that this marketing tactic showed “documented acts of sidewalk vandalism.” He said he plans to take action against Zynga for their illegal marketing idea. You can watch the video of the event below thanks to TechCrunchTV.

Fluid FX comes with a number of preset images for you to play with, ranging from faces of the developers to animals. The real fun comes when you add effects to these images. Based on which effect you have selected, you can make fireballs dance across the screen, swirl and inflate the photo you’re editing, or create ghostly lighting effects that vanish like smoke. Watch the video; it’s worth it. You can adjust the effects using the app’s control panel, and meticulously tweak the images on your own; the app supports up to ten touch points, so multiple people can play. Or, you can hit the “play” button and the app will use the effect settings to continuously alter your image. Unfortunately, the full potential of Fluid FX is severely hampered by the user interface. It’s remarkably unintuitive, and there’s no tutorial. It took me forever to figure out how to pick ONE preset image instead of having the app scroll through them all while I was editing. Fluid FX is still a fun time-waster, but…well, you don’t want to waste your time, in a time-waster app, trying to figure out the controls. Besides that, Fluid FX is just a novelty, albeit an entertaining one that can create some nifty pictures. Until the interface is improved, I’d recommend passing on this one. I’ve seen a lot of music playing apps before, like the DopplerPad App. This is a video for the Otomatone App, and it is in Japanese. It is based on an Otomatone, a weird musical instrument that you have to squeeze and play out of its “mouth”. It costs about $36, but it is available in App form. You can watch the video with touchscreen and gyroscope functions, and the App itself is about $2.99. Enjoy. Related Posts
