Here is Steve Ballmer bragging about Windows Phone 7, but I’d like to highlight some things that aren’t really bragging points, especially when compared to iOS and Android.
This is seven that my Source had to say:
1) No Flash. That sounds familiar, doesn’t it? This could be a temporary situation.
2) No multitasking. Oh, say it isn’t so! If Android can do it, why not, Microsoft?
3) Not a Unified email. Uh-oh.
4) No Cut and Paste. We discussed that one before, and it could be showing up in 2011.
5) No Apps. Oh no.
6) No Desktop Client. This isn’t good, is it?
7) Three Years Too Late.
I don’t know about that last one, but I will say that WP7 doesn’t look like it is all it is cracked up to be.

This is U-verse Mobile running on Microsoft Windows 7.
Yes, it bears a strong resemblance to other programs designed for the WP7 platform, and I don’t know how advanced it is compared to other DVR mobile programs. It gives access to the entire DVR for scheduling and checking the program guide, and the user can watch whatever he or she wants on his or her settop box.
The user can also access other deals over 3G and WiFi. We’ll be seeing a lot of terrific stuff on WP7 in the future, like Find My Phone and Cut and Paste.

Today, at Microsoft’s “second annual” press conference in New York, CEO Steve Ballmer announced three Windows Phone 7 phones.
One of them is the HTC Surround. It has a 3.8 inch touchscreen, 16GB of internal memory, and it has the distinction of being the first smartphone that has Dolby Mobile surround sound speakers that slide up. It also has a kickstand for viewing movies in landscape view.
It should be available this holiday season for a price of $199.99.

This is the HTC HD7, and it is virtually identical to the HD2. However, it does have one thing HD2 doesn’t have, and that is WP7.
Yes, this is Windows Phone 7 day, and apparently, it is one of 10 WP7 phones Microsoft will have out which include the Samsung Focus, HTC Surround, and the LG Quantum.
As far as the features, it has a 4.3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) TFT screen, 1GHz Qualcomm, MSM8250 on-chip, 576MB of RAM, 5 Megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. It also has 720/24p video recording, an added bonus.

Remember when Apple’s iPhone didn’t have cut and paste? Well, it looks like Windows Phone 7 is taking a page from that playbook.
Apparently, the company is planning on not having that feature on the first round of WP7. I believe the official date is November 8, but cut and paste isn’t coming until “early 2011″.
Will that affect the sales? I don’t think I would buy it unless it had that feature, really.
