iPhone Unlock after iOS 4.3 iPhone Unlock to Come After iOS 4.3 is Released

There’s one song that is coming to my mind right now: Waiting in Vain, by Bob Marley. Maybe I’ve got this song stuck in my head because I’m going to Jamaica next week, or maybe because it really seems to be the story behind the iPhone 4 unlock.

A month ago we were told that we’d get an unlock for the iPhone 4 by January 16th, which was the Dev Team’s priority. Now a tweet from MuscleNerd giving an “official statement” about the unlock, confirming that it will not be released before iOS 4.3 comes out, most likely next month…

I don’t know about you but it does feel like Apple is winning the cat and mouse game lately. No stable untethered jailbreak, no stable unlock. Damn, I even gave up my iPad jailbreak yesterday and restored to a clean firmware.

Now don’t get me wrong, I know these guys are doing their best. I have great respect for what they do, but maybe instead of fighting each other on Twitter, they should just remain quiet until they do have something to offer.

While you’re waiting for the unlock, why don’t you tell us what you think about this situation?

Earlier today we saw an application that allows you to fake your email identity, and now we’ve learned about Hack Center, a new jailbreak app to be available on Cydia soon, which will let you send fake scores to Game Center.

As you can see on the demo video below, this tweak is pretty straightforward. At the end of a game, it will simply ask you what you want your score to be and will submit it to Game Center…

We don’t know when this tweak will be available on Cydia, but I’d assume it’s just a matter of time now. I will also assume that Apple will patch this in just about a minute.

Will you be using this tweak?

IMG 1966 225x300 Sleep Pillow Ambiance ReviewNoise machines were all the rage back in the day. These devices became so popular you could pick up a cheap device at your local grocery store. They started out providing very few sounds like rain falling on a tin roof, or the ever-popular white noise (a.k.a television static). While these devices may have slowly drifted into obscurity, their legend lives on in new forms. Sleep Pillow is one such form.

Sleep Pillow brings on a slew of sounds for you to enjoy. Need a day at the beach in your cubicle, or maybe you want to fall asleep to the sound of rain. These ambient noises are only the start of what is available in the app. Jet engines, boats, cars, rain, beaches, and even city life finds their sounds wonderfully captured in this app. There are even some musical scores for those that want a bit more than just the cawing of seagulls gracing their ears.

The app interface is remarkably easy to use. Clearly defined photos indicated the type of noise about to come out of your speaker. A heart icon can be tapped to add specific effects to your favorites list. A sleep timer is available if you only need these sounds running for an hour. The app even works when you send it to the background and turn off the screen.

The only gripe comes from sound selections. A good amount of sounds come included with this app, but being able to choose between thunderstorms, rain falling on a tin roof, or just a sprinkle would be nice. It may make the app bigger in size, but selection is the spice of life. Even being able to choose three or four different city sounds would go a long way to really making this a top-notch app. It is also highly recommended you use some good quality speakers with this app if you have them. The effects included are recorded really well, and that is ever more apparent with good speakers.

Sleep Pillow is easy to use, provides good effects, and is much more portable than some sound machine. Regardless if you use this to relax after a rough day of work, or just need it to help you sleep, this is a good app for the task of relaxation. Give the free version a spin if you need to test it out before you purchase it.
