We have reported on a lot of Speck products before, like the PortPack and the CorePack.
This is the HoldSter, and it is designed to be a holdster for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and BlackBerry, or any other smartphone. A spring loaded contraption holds it in and it has a clip to swivel it into vertical or horizonal position.
You should be able to purchase this Accessory for smartphones on the Speck Website for about $29.95.

We have seen the Energi To Go for the iPod by Energizer, and this one is the Portable Power Travel Kit.
It is a kit with a design that I have seen before. It has a powerpack that can be charged via USB or included AC plug and in-dash lighter power. It has tips for Apple products, mini USB, plus two others that I don’t recognize.
All in all, it is a pretty handy charging system for mobile devices, and it can be purchased from Sky Mall for a price of $69.99.

Apple’s iPad has been pretty much the only big name tablet on the market since its release. Users have applauded the device for its iOS operating system, extensive line up of third party applications and overall sleek form factor. Sure, the absence of things like a front facing camera and multitasking support have proven themselves to be gripes, but many expect Apple to fix these issues in the future.
If you’re looking to get an iPad you have several options to choose from. Perhaps you want to buy the device on line or in a retail store straight from Apple. However, if that’s not your cup of tea the iOS powered tablet is also found in retail locations like Best Buy. However, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that earlier today we let you know that the Apple iPad would be coming to Verizon Wireless stores.
What we didn’t tell you, however, is the fact that Apple will also be bringing the iPad to AT&T retail locations meaning the two wireless carriers will how to duke it out to see who puts up higher sales numbers.

Today we’ve got a downright baffling product for you today–the folks out at Cyberguys sent us one of their new Horn Stands for the iPhone 4 (and it’s been suggested that the iPhone 3GS will also work, though I found some compatibility with other devices too.
The Horn Stand, as you can see in the picture set below, is basically just a shaped plastic with an ear trumpet-esque horn connecting it. Slip your iPhone in the device, use the white button on the front to turn it on, and let the horn amplify the sound to what reports suggest will get up to twelve decibels.
Naturally, I don’t have a sound meter, so I can’t say if this actually does hit twelve decibels, but the sound does sound amplified. It fulfills its intended purpose, and it does so pretty well. I mean, it’s just a shaped lump of what I’m guessing is rubber that works like a phonograph trumpet to amplify sound. It also, parenthetically, serves as an iPod Touch stand, and will even amplify an external speaker device, for instance, a Sony NWZ-S545 Walkman.
The upshots here are surprisingly many–it’s durable (probably unbreakable–I chucked it at a wall three times and it bounced off easily), easy to clean, performs multiple tasks and does them surprisingly well. But at the end of the day, it’s still just a hunk of shaped rubber that kind of makes your external speakered devices slightly louder.
And this particular amplifier can be picked up for $24.95 out at cyberguys.com.
So if you’re looking for a device that’ll throw some extra volume into your iPhone, no matter where you are, without so much as any kind of power, then you’ll be all over this thoroughly mechanical solution. But if you needed more power in your speakers, well, you’d need significantly more power to begin with.
The Good
Incredible durability
Variety of useful functions
Absolutely no power draw
The Bad
Limited effectiveness
Score 7 / 10
