It seems like I can’t quit writing about Best Buy today. First there was that possibility of that Rocketfish tablet, then what they are doing to prepare for the tablet PC overload this holiday season. And I thought Future Shop was the only major retailer to get online today.
In fact, I can’t help but wonder if Best Buy and Future Shop are related, as their Press Release looks so much alike and offer the exact same features. I might be betraying some serious ignorance here, but as I stated in another post I wrote today, I’m not Canadian.
Needless to say, Best Buy has come to the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices. It is apparently the first of its kind from a Canadian retailer.
This will allow consumers to browse and search the entire catalog, as well as get enlarged views, reviews, and ratings. You can find out more information on the official Press Release after the jump.

BURNABY, BC – Best Buy, Canada’s most popular retailer and e-tailer of consumer electronics, computers and entertainment products, announced today its free mobile app is now available to download onto iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices. Consumers can browse and accurately search the entire catalogue as well as dive deeper into each product through ratings, reviews and enlarged views. Shopping for favourite items is made easier by the Mobile Checkout’s “Ship to Home” feature.
