I’m not certain whether Periscope changed the design for the Lighted Folio for the Kindle 2, but a new version has come out that is compatible with the Barnes and Noble Nook.
Apparently, Periscope wanted to make certain that they had the e-reader case and light was compatible with most of the major e-readers out there.
I haven’t heard anything about a Periscope model being compatible with the Kindle Version 3.

I like simple phones. So help me, I do–there’s something about a phone that focuses on making and receiving calls, with a few extra options thrown in, that has a back-to-basics sort of appeal to it. And the LG Shine II is going to be a great example of that kind of appeal.
The LG Shine II offers a phone book with room for a thousand entries, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recorder, GPS, access to AT&T Navigator, mobile web, mobile email, alarm clock, a microSD card slot, a calendar, notepad, calendar, speakerphone, a world clock, access to the major instant messaging suites (AOL IM, Windows Live / MSN and Yahoo IM), a two megapixel camera with 2x zoom, self timer and low light shooting, a battery that provides three hours and twenty minutes of talk time on a single charge and a variety of apps and games with more available for download, though many of them require subscriptions.
There’s a lot that I’m less than happy with–the low battery life, the apps that require subscription to use, not to mention that you have to take the cover off to get to the MicroSD card slot. But still, there is quite a bit here for people who don’t need their phones to do a whole lot. They didn’t cheap out overmuch on the camera, and even the video playback on this thing isn’t terrible.
In fact, “isn’t terrible” is a great way to describe the entirety of the LG Shine II. While there are some things wrong with it, it doesn’t necessarily preclude you from an enjoyable and fully realized cell phone experience. You should get along well here, if you don’t go in expecting a lot.
The Good
Several good features
Decent camera
The Bad
Difficult to reach MicroSD card slot
Low battery life
Subscription apps by the load

While desktop and laptop computers have been enjoying dual, quad and even higher core processors for some time now, netbooks have generally been left in the dust. Of course, they aren’t without a processor as that wouldn’t even make sense but they are without any sort of multi core processor and this may be a deal breaker for some.
Luckily, Intel has pushed out a press release today that lets us know dual core Atom processors have begun making their way into netbooks. Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly which netbooks will have these processors just yet, but we can tell you that Acer, ASUS, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Samsung, LG, MSI and Toshiba, just to name a few, will all have dual core touting netbooks by year’s end.
While you probably won’t be swapping your Core i7 processor touting desktop for a netbook anytime soon, it’s nice to know that hardware manufacturers are working to beef the little machines up a bit more.

Some consumers love Apple’s iOS and others love Google’s Android. What ever the case may be there is no denying the fact that both platforms have their pros and cons. One pro of Google’s Android is the fact that it is capable of running Adobe Flash content thanks to a native version of Flash Player.
Available in beta for some time, Flash wasn’t exactly the least buggy software for Android in that state but things are steadily improving. In fact, Adobe has come forth to announce that Flash 10.1 is available for download but seemingly only to a select few.
Luckily, our buds over at Droid-Life have taken the time to extract the Flash 10.1 .apk file and upload it for all to enjoy. It’s not official so something may go wrong but it’s very unlikely it will brick your device.
Make note, you’re going to need Android 2.2 for this to work.
