ASUS is one of the world’s leading hardware manufacturers with one of their specialties being portable computers. In fact, ASUS was one of the first hardware manufacturers to really bring the netbook form factor to the mainstream media with their popular line up of EeePCs and other similar devices. However, while not focusing on netbooks, ASUS is hard at working pushing out fully featured laptops. Today, ASUS has announced that the N53JN and N73JN are now available in the UK for around £999 and £1,099, respectively. The N53JN features an Intel Core i5 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GT325 or 415M graphics processor, up to 320GB of storage, USB 2.0 ports and Blu-ray for all of your high definition video wathing needs. The N73JN, on the other hand, features everything mentioned above but ASUS has thrown in 640GB of storage rather than just 320GB. Additionally, ASUS has bundled their SonicMaster sound technology with both laptops which will go nicely with the Blu-ray drive for high definition audio along with video. No word on when this will hit the United States, if ever, but if/when ASUS makes an announcement we’ll push it your way. via engadget Related Posts

Just about every wireless carrier in the United States is moving to an upgraded mobile broadband network – Sprint has 4G, Verizon has LTE and T-Mobile has HSPA+. While these updated networks have proven themselves to be quite fast over yesteryear’s technology, not many phones have hit the network capable of running on them. Luckily, Sprint has already gotten two devices out the door with the HTC EVO 4G and Epic 4G while Verizon and T-Mobile are working feversihly to do the same. T-Mobile let us know not too long ago that their first HSPA+ powered device was to be the G2 powered by Google’s Android. While there isn’t a solid release date for the phone, we have some information today that will warm the hopes of anyone anxiously awaiting the G2. A device entitled the HTC PC10100 has hit the FCC and is widely known the be the codename for the T-Mobile G2. Thanks to the filing, we know that the device will feature a 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi. As for an actual release date, like I said, only time will tell. via cellphonesignal Related Posts

Google’s mobile software engineers have been working feverishly since Android’s launch in 2008 with the T-Mobile G1 to update the mobile operating system as fast as possible. Starting out with version 1.0, Android is already at version 2.2. Unfortunately, while the Android 2.2 public build has been available for quite some time straight from Google, hardware manufacturers and wireless carriers alike have been a bit slower releasing their updates with only some phones actually receiving it thus far. However, if you’re a Galaxy S owner, for instance, waiting next month for the 2.2 build you have it easy. It was just made known that the Canadian version of the Motorola Droid (known internationally as the Motorola Milestone) won’t be getting updated to Android 2.2 until Q1 2011. Of course, this may change and Motorola may push forward the Milestone Android 2.2 roll out but for now take your anger out in the comments below. via phandroid Related Posts
