Just about every handset manufacturer is frantically working towards pushing out the highly sought after Android 2.2 update to devices powered by the Google developed open source operating system. While many have already received the update, some are still anxiously awaiting it. One such high powered device has yet to recieved some Froyo lovin’ and that’s none other than the Motorola Droid X.
Released for Verizon Wireless on July 15th, the Droid X brought with it features such as a 4.3-inch touchscreen, an 8 megapixel camera, a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and much more. Sales were quite high so it’s no surprise that many consumers are getting a bit annoyed at the extended Android 2.2 wait.
Luckily, we have some good news for you today – the Android 2.2 update for the Motorola Droid X has today leaked. The leak seems fairly easy to install – just drag and drop a file onto your microSD card and boot up the update.
Before you proceed, we’re force to tell you that you shall do so at your own risk as anything that isn’t official runs the chance of bricking your device (it’s not likely, but anything could happen, right?)
