Android – Iphone – Applications

There have been quite a bit of tablet related announcements as of late with many surrounding devices from companies like ASUS, Toshiba and more. While these announcements are great for the tablet industry and awareness surrounding the form factor, they tend to focus on devices running Android or Windows 7. This is fine considering both platforms are more than capable but for an Apple fanboy, it jut won’t suffice.

For you Apple fanboys out there, I bring rumors stemming from the shores of Taiwan focusing on the iPad tablet. We’ve heard rumors before in the past but it seems that the community is abuzz over this latest batch. These rumors suggest that sometime towards the end of this year or early next Apple will come froth to announce and/or release a 7-inch version of the iPad. Hardware will be getting boosted as the device will apparantly run with a Cortex A9 processor and 512MB of RAM. Additionally, the 7-inch iPad is said to retain the 1,024 x 768 resolution IPS display found in the larger iPad. If this is true, it would make for a higher pixel density somewhat similar to the iPhone 4’s retina display.

Of course, with all rumors you’re going to have to take this with a grain of salt until someone official (read: Apple) comes forth to make an announcement.
