I like to report on all things mobile, and this news about the PS3 doesn’t seem to be related, but anything cloud-related is fair game.
If you aren’t familiar with the cloud, you should be. Think of the Pogoplug, or services like Gmail or Hotmail, which store emails on servers so the user can access them from anywhere. Sony wants to give its users cloud saving for their games in what’s called Online Saving.
So if you want to share the latest level, and you are at your friend’s house, you can do that. All that is required is logging into your account and loading the save game from there.
Unfortunately, the cloud service will only be available to PlayStation Plus, and it will cost you, I just don’t know how much yet.
