One of the greatest thing about having data on you smart phone is the ability to consume media. Not only can you watch YouTube thanks to dedicated viewers but several other applications allow for streaming media such as the ever so popular Pandora. However, when searching YouTube for a certain song, video or whatever else you may find that it’s not listed, but why?
Well, media providers do not allow YouTube to stream their videos on the go instead reserving their content for standalone applications. VEVO has come forth today to announce just that – a standalone music video viewer for the iPhone.
If you’ll remember not too long ago VEVO was announced to be the one stop shop for just about every music video out there. Well today, they are bringing that functionality to the iPhone with their dedicated music video application. This application will allow you to share videos with your friends on Twitter and Facebook along with viewing what music videos your friends are watching based on GPS location.
Sounds pretty cool and it’s free so what do you have to lose?
