The iPhone Dev-Team has posted on their blog stating that they will not release a jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2/3.2.2.

—
Jailbreakme v2.0 was a great success, and it’s provided a nice leveling point for all jailbreakers and unlockers on all devices at firmware versions less than 4.0.2/3.2.2. We hope that everybody ever interested in jailbreaks or unlocks was able to join in on the jailbreakme bonanza. Those of you who had Cydia capture your SHSH blobs, or those of you who captured them locally, will always be able to benefit from the jailbreakme.com v2.0 release. Congratulations!

Now it’s a few weeks later, and Apple has closed the jailbreakme.com hole. They’re shipping devices with FW 4.0.2/3.2.2, impervious to this particular jailbreak. So now, people will begin to ask: will there be a jailbreak for devices that shipped with 4.0.2/3.2.2, out of the box?

No, there won’t be. FW 4.0.2/3.2.2 was *only* released to fix the jailbreakme hole. With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”.

If the cat & mouse game escalates too quickly, especially during beta FW periods, nobody but Apple benefits. For this reason, there won’t be a 4.0.2/3.2.2 jailbreak specifically during the period where 4.0.2/3.2.2 is the latest public release. At best, some future 4.1x FW jailbreak *may* be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 (but don’t count on that).

New day, new app in Cydia: Volume Booster. Some of you might know this tweak, but for all the newcomers, the tweak is suppose to make your phone sounds louder ( ringtone, message sound, mail sound etc ). To be honest I never hear the difference, but maybe I’m just deaf. After you install Volume Booster, all you need to do is load Winterboard and activate the tweak just like you would a theme.

NOTE: won’t work with iOS 3.x

NOTE: some users told us that this tweak ( better said, the previous versions of this tweak ) messed up their iPhone speaker in some way or the other. We didn’t have any problem with it, so use it at your own risk.

HTC Windows 7 T8788 cred engadget 728 75 270x203 New HTC handset leakedHTC has been pretty busy with the HTC Desire on US Cellular and the Touch G7, but this particular model, the T8788, has been appearing on many tech websites today.

It is believed that this model should be available during the holiday, and might be powered by Windows Phone 7. You will notice that it is a slider, but instead of the traditional QWERTY keyboard, it has a speaker.

What you don’t see is that this phone also has a kickstand, and so it can stand up on the desk and work as an ample PMP.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about it soon before its release, and perhaps it will have a more formal name.

iphone 4 dual sim 280x236 Put Dual SIM cards on your iPhone 4There are a lot of Asian phones with dual SIM capacity, and this is the first time I have seen this ability being put on an iPhone 4. I’ve seen it for other versions of the iPhone.

USBFever has recently created a hack to this particular issue with this case that can host dual full sized SIM cards on the back of an iPhone 4.

You’ll need to run and adapter to the iPhone 4’s micro SIM slot, and you have to switch between the two SIMs using the iPhone Settings menus.

You should be able to get the case for about $30.

Make collages from your iPhone pictures with DipticWe like photo apps like iPicolo and iPicEd, as well as Photo Aquarium. For those that want to make photo collages can have them done automatically with a program known as Diptic.

Diptic uses the photos from the iPhone’s photo library to make 20 different layouts. The user can then add images to each frame, move, or zoom to create the layout he or she wants.

This is definitely for those who like scrapbooking, and this is one digital way to do it. You can get it for about $0.99.
