Just earlier today we let you in on some rumors regarding Apple holding a press conference to announce the new iPods on September 7th of this year. However, it was just made known that Apple will officially be holding said conference on the 1st as opposed to the 7th.
There is virtually nothing confirmed regarding what Apple will announce at this conference but considering it is music-based, we have some clues to go by. First of all are iPod touches with front and rear facing cameras, the Apple A4 processor and FaceTime video chat utilized by ‘calling’ a user’s email address. Second, iPod minis are rumored to be getting a small touchscreen refresh almost like a small iPod touch.
And finally, the iPod Classics are expected to get their internal storage boosted, just like every other year.
Of course, until the even actually goes down we won’t know for sure so we’ll have to keep you posted until then. The event goes down in San Francisco on September 1st at 1PM EST so be sure to check back around then.
