Twitter announced in a blog post that they now have over 145 million registered users. There are also 300,000 registered applications in the Twitter ecosystem now too. These applications use OAuth for support. Twitter switched from basic authentication to OAuth several days ago and that means several applications were left behind.
Ever since the Twitter Chirp conference last April, the number of registered applications tripled. The number of mobile Twitter users increased 62% this past April. About 16% of all new users on Twitter start from the mobile service. Around 46% of all Twitter users have used the service on a mobile service.
Around 78% of Twitter users interact through Twitter.com – but this number still includes users that use more than one external application. m.twitter.com is the second most used Twitter interface at about 14%. Twitter for iPhone and SMS are at about 8%.

We just finished Part 1 of Samsung’s new notebook series with the NF210, and here is another one with the RF510.
The RF510 has an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, and it is definitely targeted at gamers. It has a 15.6 SuperBright HD LED backlit display, with a resolution of 1366 x 768.
Other features include either an Intel Core i7 processor or Intel Core i5 processor. It has a hard drive with dual-bay architecture that is 500-640 GB, and memory of 4GB DDR3. The graphics package is Discreet NVIDIA GeForce GT330M with 1GB of dedicated memory, and audio of True2Sound SRS Premium Sound. It has 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and a battery life good for 4.5 hours.
It will be out in Fall 2010 for a price of $799. I suppose you could get a Galaxy Tab or the next model if you want to wait that long.

Software developers have been able to come up with some pretty amazing games for today’s modern mobile platforms. Apple’s iOS, in particular, has seen the launch of several hard hitting titles netting their respective developers a small fortune.
One such title that is immensely popular and available for both iOS and the Nokia N900 is Rovio’s Angry Birds. This game tasks a player with slingshotting several different types of birds at legions of pigs in an attempt to claim back what’s rightfully theirs; their eggs. It may sound stupid, but trust me, it’s an amazingly addictive game that everyone who’s anyone should check out.
Anyways, just last week Angry Birds made the jump to webOS meaning it was available on 3 major platforms. However, Google’s Android mobile OS has yet to see the entry of Angry Birds into the Marketplace. Luckily, that will all soon change as Rovio has announced that they will be launching the public beta version of Angry Birds for the Android platform this Friday.
Rovio’s official statement below:
This week, we were planning to run a closed beta test of Angry Birds Lite for Android. Due to the massive response and demand from the Android community, we have decided to make AngryBirds Lite Beta available for everybody through the Android Market this Friday.
Please note that this will be the beta version of the application which is still undergoing final testing before official release. Angry Birds Lite Beta is presented on an “as is” basis, and we cannot guarantee its functionality on every Android device.
Seeing how they say they cannot guarantee its functionality on every Android device, it would probably be better to stick to only more modern devices when checking out the Angry Birds beta this Friday.
