There are a whole slew of Android phones on the market which is a great thing for Google but may not be so good for consumers. The reason I say this is because a lot of hardware that makes it onto the scene does not feature Android’s latest version which currently sits at 2.2, sometimes known as Froyo.
Luckily, hardware manufacturers are working feverishly to get the updates out for their various handsets pleasing consumers along the way. The latest of such devices known to be getting an update is the Xperia X10 from Sony Ericsson.
Unfortunately, the Twitter message that notifies us of this udpate also lets u know that the the update won’t be Android 2.2 but instead Android 2.1.
Kind of a bummer but it’s better than nothing and hopefully Sony Ericsson will put out the Android 2.2 update soon enough.
