We have seen ways of making personalized ringtones before, and this app for the iPhone is Ringtone Maker Pro.
The App allows for making ringtones with clips from your MP3 library, and even lets you edit the clip. There is even options for fade-in and fade-out effects, as well as other interesting adjustments.
You should be able to get it for about $0.99.

Microsoft is looking to regain a name for themselves within the wireless community with their forthcoming Windows Phone 7 mobile oeprating system. Designed from the ground up to incorporate things like touch input, Windows Phone 7 looks to right all of the wrongs done by the company’s previous attempt at a mobile platform with Windows Mobile.
If you haven’t been paying attention, Microsoft recently came forth to show off a whole slew of different Windows Phone 7 powered handsets which will all be released within the coming weeks/months. However, it seems that AT&T employees are getting a little present from Microsoft in the form of Windows Phone 7 powered handsets.
That’s right, according to our sources Microsoft will be handing out Windows Phone 7 powered smartphones to each and every AT&T employee. This will most likely help Microsoft get word of the new mobile operating system out as AT&T employees will tell their friends, who will tell their friends, and so on and so forth.

Apple’s iPad is without a doubt the most popular tablet currently on the market. Of course, considering it’s pretty much the only big name tablet on the market that shouldn’t exactly come as a surprise. Luckily, competition is being brought to the table from devies like the Samsung Galaxy Tab but until that hits, the iPad will reign supreme.
One of the biggest gripes that consumers have with the iPad, however, is the fact that there is a lack of connector ports. While Apple managed to throw in their iconic 30-pin connector, and have released a few dongles allowing for a USB port or similar, there isn’t much in terms of connectvity.
In fact, if you want to get video off of your iPad and onto your television the only way to do that (through a wire) is by buying Apple’s VGA adapter. Luckily, a new adapter has appeared today out of China that promises HDMI out connectivity.
This adapter will give consumers an HDMI out port allowing them to stream 720p HD video from the iPad to any HDMI enabled display.
Sounds pretty good to me. Now we’ll just have to wait until it gets released, if ever, and we’ll be all set.

Need a reason to jailbreak? If SBSettings isn’t enough of a reason, Action Menu sure is. Being my favorite jailbreak tweak, I now dream up ways that it can make the iPhone’s interaction with selected text even better. And it has an SDK, so anything’s possible, even though the developer is not taking requests.
Here’s what I’d like to see:
1. Bookmarklet support. Run any JavaScript action on selected text just as a bookmarklet would. Maybe even pull directly from a bookmarklets folder from Safari’s bookmarks.
2. Custom PHP ‘get’ or ‘post’ support. Specify your php variables in the settings, and automatically submit your selection.
3. Clipboard Sync. Clipboard History is available in the Plus Pack. Now how about a 2-way clipboard history sync to any desktop?
4. Rich text. It’s on the way.
5. HTML formatting. Maybe even list styles, automatically inserting numbers or bullets.
6. Search in AppStore/Cydia/Custom site
7. GV Connect/GV Mobile+ integration.
8. Encrypted password database. I save hard to remember passwords in my Favorites menu. I’d like a more secure option with descriptions instead. Password generator with auto adding to DB would be great.
9. Open in new tab for Mobile Safari. There’s a tweak for that, but I’m always trying to keep my Mobile Substrate extensions to a minimum.
10. Send to Quicksilver or LaunchBar on your desktop.
What would you like to see?

If you’ve been paying attention to the tech community you’ll know that HP recently acquired Palm. While this gave HP access to Palm’s line up of devices such as the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi, what is more important is webOS. This mobile operating system has been developed from the ground up by Palm and is expected to make its way to new tablets, smartphones and even printers in the future.
However, until that happens we’re going to have to settle with the various devices currently powered by the mobile operating system, as detailed above. Luckily, it seems that another smartphone is just over the horizon that will fall into line with the already released webOS powered devices. As we’ve told you in the past this device will be called the Palm Pre 2.
While we’ve heard that this device might be coming to Sprint, we’ve gotten word today that the device is destined for Verizon Wireless as well. This wouldn’t be too far fetched considering Verizon is home to other devices such as the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus.
Will you purchase a Palm Pre 2 when it hits store shelves (whenever that may be)?
